Types of Green Technology

Energy
Perhaps the most urgent issue for green technology, this includes the development of alternative fuels, new means of generating energy and energy efficiency.

Green building
Green building encompasses everything from the choice of building materials to where a building is located.

Environmentally preferred purchasing
This government innovation involves the search for products whose contents and methods of production have the smallest possible impact on the environment, and mandates that these be the preferred products for government purchasing.

Green chemistry
The invention, design and application of chemical products and processes to reduce or to eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances.

Green nanotechnology
Nanotechnology involves the manipulation of materials at the scale of the nanometer, one billionth of a meter. Some scientists believe that mastery of this subject is forthcoming that will transform the way that everything in the world is manufactured. "Green nanotechnology" is the application of green chemistry and green engineering principles to this field.

The Green Technology has been identify, it's your turn to identify your next step... Save Our Planet: GO GREEN.

What is the Goals of Green Technology?

Green technology is the future of this society. We want to be a part of technology and at the same time to maintain the greenness of our planet. The goals of green technology are to find ways to produce technology in ways that do not damage or deplete the Earth's natural resources.

In addition to not depleting natural resources, green technology is meant as an alternative source of technology that reduces fossil fuels and demonstrates less damage to human, animal, and plant health, as well as damage to the world, in general.

Next, green technology is so that products can be re-used and recycled.

The use of green technology (clean technology) is supposed to reduce the amount of waste and pollution that is created during production and consumption.

The goals that inform developments in this rapidly growing field include:

  • Sustainability - meeting the needs of society in ways that can continue indefinitely into the future without damaging or depleting natural resources. In short, meeting present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
  • "Cradle to cradle" design - ending the "cradle to grave" cycle of manufactured products, by creating products that can be fully reclaimed or re-used.
  • Source reduction - reducing waste and pollution by changing patterns of production and consumption.
  • Innovation - developing alternatives to technologies - whether fossil fuel or chemical intensive agriculture - that have been demonstrated to damage health and the environment.
  • Viability - creating a center of economic activity around technologies and products that benefit the environment, speeding their implementation and creating new careers that truly protect the planet.

So people out there don’t wait for others to start it. YOU must start it... try to recycle all of your products and things... together we Save Our Planet: GO GREEN.

What is Green Technology?

We are now in the age of technology. As I mentioned in my previous post, technology can harm our planet. In order to maintain our green planet, we have to mix technology and green. Inventors must use their brains to think out of box. They must create the invention that environmental friendly. Even though we are not researcher, we can help them by supporting their effort to create the inventions that are environmentally friendly.

In order to go with green technology, you need to fully understand what green technology is. Basically, green technology is that in which the technology is environmentally friendly and is created and used in a way that conserves natural resources and the environment. You may hear green technology being referred to as environmental technology and clean technology.

Green technology is a field of new, innovative ways to make changes in daily life. Currently, this Clean Technology is in the beginning stages of its development, so the future will only bring bigger and better things for this field.

Give your support to make this world a better place to live... Safe Our Planet: GO GREEN.

Technology can harm our Planet!!!

Many of the technologies we use every day consume a lot more resources and power than they need to, and using and manufacturing them can create a mess. Here are a few of the ways that technology can harm the environment:
  • ·         Pollution - Air, water, heat and noise pollution can all be caused by producing and using technology
  • ·         Consuming resources - Non-renewable resources, including precious metals like gold, are used to make technology. Many others, such as coal, are consumed to generate the electricity to use technology. Even some renewable resources, like trees and water, are becoming contaminated or are used up faster than they can renew themselves because of technology.
  • ·         Waste - Manufacturing technology creates large amounts of waste, and used computers and electronics get thrown out when they break or become outdated. Called "technotrash," these electronics contain all sorts of hazardous materials that are very unsafe for the environment. They need to be disposed of using special methods.
  • ·         Disrupting ecology - Clearing land where animals used to live to build factories and allowing pollution to contaminate the food chain can greatly affect the environment's natural cycles.
  • ·         Health hazards - Using toxic materials that can harm our health can cause cancer, and technology addiction can lead to other health problems like obesity and carpal tunnel syndrome.

You can encourage manufacturers by choosing to buy more energy-efficient and less hazardous electronics and by supporting companies that make protecting the environment a priority. You can also do your own part to reduce environmental impact by not being wasteful and disposing of your electronics safely and properly.

Assalamualaikum and Salam Sejahtera to all,

What is Green World?

Scientists around the world are agreed that we are full responsible to our planet. We all must do our best to take care of our planet. BUT WHAT CAN WE DO??? What we can do is start making changes to our daily lives to reduce global warming and reducing the use of chemicals that deplete the Earth's protective ozone layer.

Green is a term that many people use to talk about taking care of the planet and not overusing the resources that we all share. If you want to make a difference, the best way to start is to follow these three principles:

Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

Reduce means to use less of everything: less energy, less paper, less gas, and less water. It means to ride a bike or drive a hybrid car, and to turn off the water when you are brushing your teeth.

Reuse means to find new uses for your old products. Turn a pair of jeans into a cool purse, or use broken flower pots and create mosaic for a table or photo frame. Use newspapers to make papier mache art for a friend.

Recycle means to take your used products like cans, bottles, plastics, and paper and donate them to groups that turn them into new products.

To all people out there, your small changes can brings a lot of different. Start it now... Save Our Planet : GO GREEN

Welcome To My Greeny World....

Assalamualaikum and Salam Sejahtera All,

Welcome to my Greeny World!!!
